In 2019, therefore, the institution is actively involved in the celebration of the 140th anniversary of the establishment of the modern Bulgarian diplomatic service, the 140th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between Bulgaria and a number of states in Western Europe, Eastern Europe and the Balkans, as well as several other significant round dates in Bulgaria’s bilateral diplomatic relations.

In order to promote this anniversary year among a wider audience, we conducted a series of video conversations with the ambassadors of 12 countries that celebrate the 140th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in Bulgaria or any other significant round date in 2019, in which they shared interesting moments from the history of bilateral relations, their vision of their future development, and their personal experience the “kitchen” of the diplomatic profession.

Conversations were called by young diplomats from the Foreign Ministry, graduates of the Diplomatic Institution, in the native language of each ambassador and subsequently subtitled in Russian and English.

In order to show the Bulgarian point of view on bilateral relations, we also shot a video with short blitz calls from Bulgarian ambassadors accredited to these 12 countries. Enjoy watching!
