of the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

1. Subject

These General Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (hereinafter referred to as the “Institute” or “DI”) and the users of the Institute’s website. The site has an informational, educational and representative purpose, reflecting the activity of DI as a leading school for diplomatic training.

2. Intellectual Property

  • 2.1. All site content, including texts, analytics, event photos, video materials (e.g., “Conversations with Ambassadors” or “Living Archives”) and graphic elements are owned by the Diplomatic Institute and are protected by the Copyright and Related Acts him rights. 
  • 2.2. The institute is a publisher of periodicals and specialized publications, including the journal “Diplomacy”, the series “Foreign Political Studies” and the collections “Energy and Climate Diplomacy”. The use of parts of these publications is permitted only by explicitly citing the source and author. 
  • 2.3. Unauthorized use, reproduction or distribution of materials from the site for commercial purposes is prohibited.

3. Services and information provided

Through the site, users get access to:

  • Training Information: Details of courses for intern-attachés, consular diplomacy and trainings for the state administration.
  • library: DI library access information that contains over 60,000 titles. External readers should observe the order of prior request specified on the site.
  • Internship program: Conditions and procedures for applying for an internship in DI.
  • Archive and Resources: Access to digital versions of Diplomacy magazine, video archives and radio broadcasts such as Diplomat Profession.

4. Rules of Conduct and Responsibility

  • 4.1. Users undertake to use the site in good faith and not to take actions that may disrupt its functioning.
  • 4.2. The Institute makes efforts to keep the information on the site up-to-date (e.g. regarding dates for events and trainings), but is not responsible for possible technical errors or temporary unavailability of the platform.
  • 4.3. For references (links) to external partner sites (e.g. Hans Seidel Foundation, European Security and Defense College, Sofia University), DI is not responsible for the content and policies of these third countries.

5. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

The Diplomatic Institute reserves the right to change these General Terms and Conditions at any time, and the changes take effect from the moment of their publication on the Site.
