Since its establishment in 2003, the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria has successfully fulfilled its mission to provide professional training for the Bulgarian diplomatic service.

We develop national and international cooperation by implementing joint projects with other similar institutions in the field of diplomatic training.
The Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute is an independent administrative structure (legal entity) and a secondary budget administrator under the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Its functions and scope of activity are set out in Chapter Six of the Diplomatic Service Act of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Called upon to build the future of the Bulgarian diplomatic service, the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute strives for continuity in Bulgarian diplomacy and ensures the transfer of good professional traditions and practices between different generations of diplomats in accordance with the highest global and European standards.
