The new Issue 30th of Diplomacy Journal is now available online. The issue is entirely dedicated to the preparation of the first Foreign Policy Strategy of the Republic of Bulgaria. It features an introductory address by Ms. Mariya Gabriel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The issue includes articles by prominent Bulgarian experts and diplomats with extensive professional experience, including Dr. Katya Todorova, Dr. Lyubomir Kyuchukov, Ambassador Bisserka Benisheva, Prof. Ingrid Shikova, Ambassador Angel Orbetsov, Ambassador Dimitar Mihaylov, Dr. Marian Karagyozov, Fleet Admiral Prof. Boyan Mednikarov, and Assoc. Prof. Siyana Lyutskanova.

The topics covered in this issue include a comparative analysis of approaches to developing foreign policy strategies in EU and NATO Member States; Bulgarian foreign policy in the context of current geopolitical dynamics; Bulgaria’s positioning within EU policies; economic security as part of the EU’s foreign policy strategy; the growing economic dimension of Bulgarian diplomatic activity; Bulgaria’s policy towards the Balkans in a changing world; the Asian-African dimension of Bulgaria’s foreign policy strategy; and the development of maritime diplomacy as an element of Bulgarian foreign policy.

The issue was prepared as part of the commemorative activities marking the 20th anniversary of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute.
