The Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute held a productive online meeting with representatives of the newly established Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

The Director of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute, Ms. Tanya Mihaylova, met with Ms. Tamar Beruchashvili, Rector of the Georgian Diplomatic Academy. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the excellent cooperation established between the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute and the former Georgian Diplomatic Institute, which has recently been transformed into an academy. The participants discussed future joint initiatives in diplomatic training, international cooperation and public diplomacy.

Representing the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute at the meeting were also Mr. Iordan Stoitchkov, Head of the Training, Research and Project Activities Department, and Mr. Nikolay Milovanov, Specialist at the Public Affairs and Cooperation Department.

The Georgian delegation also included H.E. Zurab Khamashuridze, Ambassador of Georgia to Bulgaria; Mr. Niko Gelovani, Counsellor at the Embassy of Georgia in Sofia; and Ms. Ruska Javakhishvili, International Cooperation Expert at the Diplomatic Academy of Georgia.
