he Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute conducted specialised Pre-Posting Preparation Training for a representative of the Ministry of Interior (MoI). The annual course is organised in close cooperation between the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute and the Ministry of Interior and is designed to prepare MoI officials appointed for long-term assignments at Bulgaria’s diplomatic and consular missions abroad.

As part of the training, meetings were held with officials and experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The discussions covered Bulgaria’s foreign policy priorities, cooperation and coordination with the Consular Relations Directorate in the context of work abroad, cyber and hybrid threats in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Balkans, partnerships in South-East Europe, the key principles of diplomatic conduct, and the organisation of high-level bilateral meetings.

At the conclusion of the training, the Director of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute, Ms. Tanya Mihaylova, emphasised the importance of mandatory pre-posting preparation for all officials departing for service abroad and wished the MoI representative success in his future work.
