The online edition of the 28th issue of the bilingual Diplomacy Journal, published by the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute, is now available. The issue focuses on European security in the context of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the strategic reassessment of security and defence policy within the EU and NATO.

Other highlights of the issue include the regional economic integration of the Western Balkans; Bulgaria’s bilateral relations with Canada and South Africa; 15 years of the “Bulgarian Youth Delegates to the UN” programme; and Jewish cultural heritage in Bulgaria, as reflected in the holdings of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute Library. The issue is dedicated to Prof. Milan Milanov (1939–2022), Director of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute from 2006 to 2009, and the founder and first Editor-in-Chief of the Diplomacy Journal.
