The Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute to the Minister of Foreign Affairs participated in the second edition of the “La Fabrique de la Diplomatie” forum in Paris, held from 3 to 5 September 2026 and organized by the Diplomatic and Consular Academy of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and its Director, Mr. Didier Le Bret.

The forum is a three-day event open to the public and students, aiming to showcase the work of French diplomacy and international organizations. It is hosted by Sorbonne Nouvelle University.

The forum was officially opened by Mr. Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Khaled El-Enany, Director-General of UNESCO, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps, including the Bulgarian Ambassador, Ms. Radka Balabanova.

The parallel programme for directors and representatives of diplomatic academies and training institutions brought together representatives from more than 30 countries for bilateral meetings, lectures, discussions, and an exchange of ideas and best practices in professional diplomatic training.

Ms. Tanya Mihaylova, Director of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute, held meetings and discussions with her counterparts from France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, Ukraine, Greece, Serbia, the Republic of North Macedonia, Egypt, Tunisia, and Saudi Arabia. She also met with representatives of the International Organisation of La Francophonie, the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator (GESDA), the National Institute of Public Service (INSP), and the Aga Khan Foundation.

Ms. Marina Vladimirova, Chief Expert at the Training, Research and Project Activities Department of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute, also took part in the meetings.
