In July 2022, the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute published the seventh issue of its Energy and Climate Diplomacy collection in English. The articles focus primarily on the prospects and challenges of the energy transition in South-East Europe amid geopolitical upheaval and the war in Ukraine; energy security in the region; opportunities for EU cooperation with countries in the Caspian region and the Eastern Mediterranean; as well as the role of public-private partnerships in achieving the objectives of the European Green Deal and the future of coal regions.
