A working meeting was held at the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute between its Director, Ms. Tanya Mihaylova, and the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Bulgaria, H.E. Elmar Mammadov.

The discussion focused on the development of bilateral cooperation in the context of two anniversaries being marked this year: the 34th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, and the 15th anniversary of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute and ADA University – Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy.

During the meeting, Ms. Mihaylova presented the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute’s key training programmes and public initiatives. She emphasised the importance of specialised training and the exchange of good practices for further developing the skills and competencies of the diplomatic service.

For his part, H.E. Mammadov highly praised the work of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute in areas such as energy, economic, scientific and religious diplomacy, and expressed his readiness to further develop cooperation and actively support the implementation of future initiatives.
