
Today, Ms. Tanya Mihaylova, Director of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute, delivered a lecture entitled “Diplomacy and Conflicts in the Contemporary World: Today’s Challenges and Future Prospects” to young participants in the Youth and the World Academy, organized by the United Nations Association in Bulgaria in the village of Lozen.
The lecture was part of the programme of the Academy’s final day. Ms. Mihaylova presented the current challenges posed by the rapidly changing international environment, the role of diplomacy as a tool for preventing and resolving conflicts, as well as the importance of preparing young people to contribute to building a safer and more sustainable world and to engage actively in international relations.
The lecture was followed by an engaging discussion on current issues, with the young participants also expressing a strong interest in pursuing careers in diplomacy.
The participation of the Director of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute in the Youth and the World Academy represents another step in supporting initiatives aimed at fostering young people’s interest in international relations and diplomacy, as well as supporting the activities of the United Nations Association in Bulgaria.
