A working meeting was held at the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute between its Director, Ms. Tanya Mihaylova, and H.E. Viktor Temirbayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Bulgaria. The meeting focused on the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2025 between the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and on opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between the two institutions.
The participants discussed proposals put forward by their Kazakh partners, including the organisation of study visits to Bulgaria for Academy alumni, applied research exchanges on security issues in the Black Sea region, and joint commemorations in 2027 marking the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Kazakhstan, among other initiatives.
Special attention was also given to opportunities for Kazakh diplomats to participate in the training courses and seminars for foreign diplomats organised by the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute. The Kazakh side expressed its appreciation for the positive experience of previous participants in these activities.
As a gesture of respect and in recognition of the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, celebrated this year, Ambassador Temirbayev presented protocol gifts to the Director of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute. In return, he received a copy of Bulgaria Rediscovered, a recently published photographic album issued with the support of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute.
