The trainee attachés at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs belonging to the 20th “Dimitar Stanchov” cohort, organised by the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute, visited the Embassy of Romania in Sofia. They had the opportunity to meet with H.E. Brândușa Predescu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Bulgaria.

Their discussion addressed a range of issues related to bilateral and regional cooperation, including current security challenges in the Black Sea region.

Ambassador Predescu highlighted the excellent relations between Bulgaria and Romania, both within the European Union and NATO. She also shared insights into her personal professional experience as a diplomat.

As part of the trainee attachés’ training programme, the visit made a valuable contribution to their understanding of the good-neighbourly relations between Bulgaria and Romania.
