The internship program of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute is open to applications year-round and aims to help students gain practical experience in the Bulgarian diplomatic service and state administration, thus guiding them in the choice of their professional realization.

Specialized departments
Face time for interns is from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every working day in the library of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute, located in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The interns support the work of the two specialized departments of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute on a daily basis:
• Training, Research and Project Activities;
• Public Affairs and Cooperation.
At the end of their practice, interns receive a certificate for the internship.
If you meet the following criteria, we await your application for internship:
You are a student after your second year of studies at a Bulgarian or foreign university;
You study majors such as international relations, international security, law, political science, European studies, public administration, philology, economics and business or other humanitarian or economic science;
You have an average score of 4.50 (out of 6.00) or an equivalent score;
You are fluent in written and spoken Bulgarian and English (fluency in any other foreign language is an advantage);
The "office package" does not hide secrets for you, as well as modern software products for processing texts and images and creating digital content;
You feel motivated to choose a professional path in the field of diplomacy and government.

Follow these steps for successful application:
free-text application to the Director of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute, in which you indicate the desired month and duration of the internship (up to 4 weeks);
up-to-date CV;
cover letter why you are interested in our internship program;
a university assurance that you are an active student.
We are waiting for your documents from the 1st to the 20th of the month preceding the month in which you wish to conduct an internship.
